about us

We, Jonathan Hesford and Rachel Treloar founded this 10ha estate in 2006 in Trouillas which is situated in the Aspres hills of the Roussillon, considered by many to be France's most exciting wine region. 

​

Here in the Occitanie region, we bring together a passion for great wine, new world innovation and the wonderful local terroir.  

​

Our aim is to make the best wines possible from every vintage.  Jancis Robinson MW consistently includes us in her top Roussillon producers.

​

​Our path was rather unusual. We lived and worked within 500m of the Twin Towers on September 11 2001 and experiencing that event made us rethink our life and provided the catalyst to make our dream a reality.

OUR WINES

We produce 14 different wines exclusively from our vineyards.  Some of the wines are made in small quantities and only in certain years and sell out quickly.  Our wine is exported to many countries but sold only by independent wine merchants.

Call in during our opening times or make a reservation to visit us at another time. 
 

There is a tasting fee of 10€ per person but it doesn't apply when making purchases of 30€ or more.

Guided Tours

GUIDED TOURS

Come and join us for a friendly, informative and thoroughly enjoyable guided tour of our vineyards and winery followed by a tutored tasting of our wines. The whole tour takes 1.5 to 2 hours.

Reserve your tour for any day throughout the year subject to availability.  

​

Cost : 15€ per person,

minimum of 2 persons. ​​

WINE & CHEESE MATCHING

You can accompany your tour or tasting with our selection of quality French cheeses, local olive oils, fresh bread chosen to match the wines.

In the cellar

In the winery all we have to do is coax the juice to produce great, long-lived wines of exceptional character.  

Our wines are highly praised by the world's most respected guides. Guide Hachette, La Revue du Vin de France, Robert Parker, Wine Spectator and Jancis Robinson. 

DIRECTIONS

The village of Trouillas lies off the N9, the main road (not the Autoroute) that goes from Perpignan to Spain. We are located 5 mins from Thuir, 20 mins from Perpignan and Le Boulou.

Enter through the pillared big green gates.  Parking is available in the courtyard.  The winery entrance is the large green door that you will see.
